Brass is Back

You may not want to admit it, but brass is back and its looking quite modern these days. A throwback of 70’s decadence, it adds a touch of glam to any room, as a wall hanging, lamp, statuette, lighting, or furniture item.

There are two routes to take:

1) Maximalist – the most brass per square inch, coupled with other metals, bright saturated colors and textiles, for an over the top effect bordering on comical. Yet dazzling.

2. Minimalist – simple white rooms with streamlined furniture and just the bare essentials. The brass detailing gives the space just enough wow factor.

Its really everywhere now – as either finish options in hardware and lighting, new decorative items, or vintage finds.

I am obsessed with brass! I have brass accents everywhere in my apartment. I’m so glad it’s making a comeback!
